Dr. Simon Moore MD CCFP FCFP

Dr. Simon Moore is a top-rated lecturer and former president of CAIR (now Resident Doctors of Canada). He has been an examiner at multiple levels of medical education, and has been invited to present at multiple lectures, conferences, and resident teaching sessions internationally. He received a 2017 CCFP Award of Excellence for his outstanding contributions in his first 5 years of practice.

 

Dr. Leon Waye

Dr. Leon Waye MD CCFP

Dr. Waye is known for his hilarious and enthusiastic teaching which features memorable clinical pearls from his fascinating breadth of experiences. Dr. Waye has trained in Canada and internationally, including at Harvard University, and won Manitoba Resident of the Year in 2015.

He practices in numerous areas including obesity clinic, primary care obstetrics, gender-affirming therapy, and as a clinical teacher.

Dr. Dave Jerome MD, MSc, CCFP, FAWM

Dr. Dave Jerome is a physician with the Canadian Armed Forces, and has practiced in ON, AB, and NWT as well as overseas on multiple deployments.  He has won multiple leadership awards, and awards for presenting at national conferences.  He is an ATLS Instructor, and has been published in the CFPC and CJEM. He is the founding president of the Canadian Association of Wilderness Medicine (CAWM).

Dr. Rebecca Topp MD CCFP

Dr. Rebecca Topp is a displaced East Coaster on a cross country adventure with her job as a physician in the Canadian Armed Forces. She completed her medical schooling through Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick and her residency in Thunder Bay, ON at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.  She loves teaching, occupational medicine, and hanging out of helicopters every chance she gets.​

 

Dr. Emma Galloway

Dr. Emma Galloway MD CCFP

Dr. Emma Galloway won the Silver Medal for the Top CCFP Exam mark in British Columbia. She brings her extensive experience as a top-rated medical educator to help The Review Course participants succeed.​

Dr. Joanna McNeil MD CCFP

Dr. Joanna McNeil lives in Winnipeg and divides time between the city and Manitoba’s northern indigenous communities. Being the only doc in a fly-in community results in a mixed practice of primary care and acute care! She also has a passion for reproductive health and recently returned to residency to complete an enhanced skills program at the University of Calgary in low risk obstetrics.

Dr. Felicia Presenza

Dr. Felicia Presenza MD CCFP CoE

Dr. Felicia Presenza is a Care of the Elderly physician providing rehab care at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre in Sudbury ON. She also has a geriatric focused family practice and is working towards providing more dementia care in the form of ‘memory clinic’ services in her community.

Dr. Presenza brings to the course a strong background in education having taught for the Princeton Review course, and having worked for Ottawa Public health as an educator for Tobacco Control programs.

Dr. Sarah Yager MD CCFP

Dr. Sarah Yager won the Silver Medal for the Top CCFP Exam mark in British Columbia in 2015. Since finishing residency, she has worked in Yukon, NWT and BC as a locum rural family physician. Dr. Yager currently focuses on low risk maternity care and family planning in Vancouver, BC. She is actively involved in providing continuing medical education for colleagues, as well as clinical teaching and exam prep for medical students and Family Medicine residents.​

Dr. Tara Dawn

Dr. Tara Dawn MD CCFP

Dr. Tara Dawn is a newly graduated Family Doctor practicing full service Family Practice part-time in Vancouver and part-time in Northern Alberta.

As a previous Chief Resident of her residency program and CFPC Resident Leadership Award 2016 Candidate, she is passionate about sharing experiences and wisdom in hopes of helping others succeed.

Maj. Paul Dhillon MBBCh CCFP

Maj. Paul Dhillon is an author, a Canadian Military Major, and the winner of the Canadian Medical Assocation's 2017 Young Leader Award and the CFPC's 2018 Early Career Award. He has given conference presentations internationally and publishes on a wide variety of topics.

Dr. Mike Kirlew MD CCFP (EM), FCFP

Dr. Kirlew is well-known for the free Dr. Mike Kirlew Podcasts helping residents prepare for the CCFP exam. Dr. Kirlew is a clinician in rural northern Ontario. Born and raised in Canada’s capital city, Dr. Kirlew attended University of Ottawa for both medical school and residency. In addition to being a practising primary care physician, Dr. Kirlew holds academic appointments at Northern Ontario School of Medicine, Queen’s University, and University of Ottawa.

Dr. Jenny MacKay MD CCFP

Dr. Jenny MacKay is a rural family physician in Sioux Lookout, ON. She loves working the full scope of family medicine including ER, hospitalist, and obstetrics. She also travels to remote indigenous communities to provide primary care.

Dr. Kaitlyn Dupuis

Dr. Kaitlyn Dupuis MD CCFP

Dr. Kaitlin Dupuis is the winner of the 2012 BCCFP Family Medicine Resident Leadership Award.  

Her educational experience includes serving as a Mainpro course reviewer for the CFPC. She is experienced in teaching as an ALARM instructor since 2013, and as a presenter at the CFPC's Family Medicine Forum.

As well, she is the Medical Expert for Morning Live on CHCH TV in Hamilton, ON.
