What are the SOOs? What are SAMPs? Preparing for the CCFP exam

WHAT IS A SOO?

The Simulated Office Orals (SOO) are the oral exam component of the CCFP exam, composed of five 15-minute stations in which the simulated patient is a physician examiner. Sample SOOs can be found at cfpc.ca/soos

We have compiled a list of SOO Success Secrets on our SOO success infographic.

WHAT IS A SAMP?

The Short Answer Management Problems (SAMP) are the written component. These test family practice knowledge in a computer-based examination. Sample SAMPs can be found at cfpc.ca/samps and a sample SAMP online exam can be found at cfpc.mcc.ca.
