Why We Are Selling Our $1,241 Course For $10 … one time only

You may have seen an e-mail from us this morning promoting an exam prep course for $10 (usual price is $1241).

Please accept our apologies for any confusion. It should be $10 (ten dollars).

That’s right, it’s not a prank.

And yes, this discount is available to all R1 and R2 residents enrolled in a Canadian Family Medicine residency program.

If you saw our email this morning and thought it was an April Fools' joke, we don't blame you.

An in-person exam prep event, with meals, and highly-rated family physician teachers, would cost thousands to run at a break-even level.

So of course a $10 ticket looks like a typo.

But $10 for a weekend of CCFP exam prep? Especially when we’ve been completely serious about providing Canada’s best CCFP exam resources for the last decade?

This time, believe it or not…

… we’re not kidding.

Not one bit.

Don't get me wrong. Ever since we started The Review Course, Paul and I have loved tossing out the odd April Fools joke. On past April 1, we released articles on:

This one, though is NOT a joke.

What’s the catch?

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of The Review Course in Family Medicine, and since over 5000 physicians have attended our events, we wanted to celebrate by doing something amazing for the next generation of family doctors.

Instead of throwing a gala for ourselves, we decided to invest back into the profession.

So, we are opening 100 seats to our live, in-person CCFP exam prep course in Toronto this August 15-16 for just $10 for residents.

This is a one-time deal for Summer 2026 only. One city only. One time only.

Are you:

- Currently in your R1 year?

This is perfect for you if you're writing the CCFP exam in Spring 2027 - get a head start on your exam prep before it's stressful. (Pro tip: don't wait until our 2027 courses as the price will go back to normal then.)

- Writing the CCFP exam this Fall 2026?

These dates are even better for practice-eligible or off-cycle residents writing this fall.

There are no hidden fees, but there is one strict rule: To get access to the $10 tickets, you must be an R1 or R2 currently enrolled in a Canadian Family Medicine residency program, making a meager resident physician salary.

We will be verifying, with a deadline, so make sure you get your verification document from your program ready EARLY.

For our Practice-Eligible colleagues, our usual tuition rate applies (but we do have early bird discounts on too!)Registration opens May 1st. Get your resident status verification document ready now (Off cycle, parental leave…all good, just e-mail us if you’re in a special circumstance and we are happy to chat about it) —because once these 100 seats are gone, they’re gone.

We might be fools, but we aren’t foolish enough to do this ever again.

So if you’re interested, get your residency verification letter, mark your calendar… noon EST (make sure you use the correct time zone!), since on May 1, the tickets go live. And they’ll go fast.

Happy 10th Anniversary to The Review Course!

- Simon & Paul
