HPV Shots in Canada: One or Two? NACI Knows What’s Best for You!

Refresher: The National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) recommends HPV vaccination using the 9vHPV vaccine for all individuals aged 9-26 years:
Ages 9 to 20 = one dose
Ages 21 to 26 = two doses
Ages 27 and older = may receive two doses with shared decision making with their healthcare provider
The 9vHPV vaccine is approved for individuals age 9 to 45 and should be used along with (not in place of) cervical cancer screening
